FERRARI 599XX: To the delight of sports car fans, the Ferrari 599XX supercar will be on display at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show. As an extreme, high-performance berlinetta, the 599XX is not homologated for the road, but aimed strictly for non-competitive track use. The 599XX is an example of Ferrari exclusive and limited production philosophy. The car will be reserved for just 20 select clients. This ?laboratory? model is equipped with a 690 horsepower 6.0-liter V-12, with new cylinder design heads. Featuring fresh aerodynamic solutions, electronic controls and chassis dynamics, the 599XX research project will influence the development of future Ferrari road cars. This Prancing Horse rides on 19-inch wheels, framed by custom wide slick tires, and the car is fitted with carbon-ceramic brakes and aluminum calipers. Note the budding F1-style wings on the rear roof pillars.
