Maserati GranTurismo Sport

2013 MASERATI GRANTURISMO SPORT COUPE: People attending the 105th edition of the Chicago Auto Show agreed that seeing the Maserati GranTurismo Sport Coupe up close was a pleasurable experience. Especially in the latest metallic paint called Blu Sofisticato tint. The body design is dazzling and seductive, with long hood, air-scooping front inlets, new light clusters and bumpers fitted with splitters that can be personalized in body-colored paint of in carbon fiber. At the rear, the smoked taillights enhance the look of 96 LEDs and also improve visibility and safety. The sporty 2+2 cockpit is the results of in-depth ergonomic research, with body-hugging seats upholstered in leather and accented by Blu Sofisticato stitching. Performance is supplied by a 4.7 liter V-8, optimized to bring down friction as it delivers a smooth 460 horsepower to the rear wheels. Speaking of wheels, showgoers liked the new 20-inch Astro Design wheel rims, and profound drilled and slotted discs that come as standard kit. Peeking through the rims, the Brembo calipers are finished in Blu Opaco Anodizzato. Buyers have a selection of a six-speed manual gearbox with a twin-disc clutch, or a six-speed automatic ZF setup equipped with MC Auto Shift software. Track figures provide proof that the GranTurismo Sport Coupe can roar from 0-to-60 mph in 4.7 seconds and top off at 186 mph. Remember Maserati’s tagline, ‘Excellence Through Passion.’
