Lamborghini Spyder Performante Edizione Tecnica

LAMBORGHINI SPYDER PERFORMANTE EDIZIONE TECNICA: On display in the Comcast Business Class Garage exhibit at the Chicago Auto Show is the rare and exotic Lamborghini Spyder Perfomante Edizion Tecnica. As with all Lamborghinis, the Spyder (convertible) is all about performance, geared to the high-rev enjoyment of driving. With uncompromising elegance of true Italian design, the Spyder Performante Edizion Tecnica is a work of art in Alcantar and carbon fiber that follows the principle of "form follows function." Not only is this Lamborghini sexy looking, it packs a 5.2 liter V-10 engine that pumps out a pavement-pounding 570 horsepower and 397 lb.ft. of torque. The powerplant is mated to a six-speed transmission with robotized sequential system (E-gear) with actuation by paddles on the steering column. Weight-saving structural aluminum is employed for the space frame; aluminum with carbon fiber make up the body panels, and those ‘hang-on’ parts are made of thermoplastic. Around back is a fixed spoiler, and the fully electronic-hydraulic soft top includes an electronic folding rear window/wind protector. Track times confirm that the Lamborghini Spyder Performante Edizione Tecnica is like a guided missile, blasting from 0-to-60 mph in 3.9 seconds on its way to a 201 mph top speed. Showgoes agree that the custom flat black finish gives this $288,255 model an even more menacing presences – but they love it! Next time your in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, stop and visit the modern factory where Lamborghinis have been built since 1963.
