2015 LAND ROVER LR2: For 2015, the Land Rover exhibit at the 107th annual Chicago Auto Show (Feb. 14-22, 2015), will be displaying the LR2 with two special Value Edition packages and a special-value audio upgrade. Unique in the compact luxury SUV segment, the LR2 provides full-time intelligent four-wheel drive, superb handling with true capability and versatility. Now equipped with a 240-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder, the turbocharged engine boosts more horsepower and torque, as well as improved fuel economy over the previous inline six-cylinder powerplant. Mated to the engine is a six-speed automatic transmission with CommandShift that provides all the advantages of an automatic and fun of a manual gearbox. When properly equipped, the LR2 can handle up to 3,500-lb trailer load and a 330-lb tongue weight capacity. For 2014, the Land Rover LR2 is offered in three trim levels, beginning with the LR2, then LR2 HSE and top-tier LR2 HSE Lux. Standard amenities in all LR2 models include grained leather seating with an eight-way power driver's seat and six-way power front passenger seat, along with a dual-panel panoramic sunroof. Advanced features include five-passenger tiered 'stadium' seating, cruise control (conveniently located with the audio controls on the steering wheel), automatic dual zone climate control and panoramic sunroof. With rear seatbacks folded flat, there is up to 30 cu. ft. of cargo carrying capabilities. The all-wheel drive configuration is adjustable to fit smooth highways or rugged off-road terrain.
