2016 Chevrolet Trax: Consumers considering a city-smart vehicle that provides the utility of a Sport-Utility and agility of a compact car, check out the 2016 Chevrolet Trax while at the Chicago Auto Show. Available in LS, LT and LTZ trim levels, with premium features offered across the range Trax comes with a 138-horsepower Ecotec 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine backed by an efficiency-enhancing Hydra-Matic six-speed automatic transmission. In regions that have slippery conditions, Trax is available with all-wheel drive that automatically splits torque between the front and rear wheels for better traction and handling. It's the most affordable AWD option in Chevrolet's portfolio and is available on all trim levels. A 100.6-inch wheelbase and a planted, wide stance foster a more confident driving experience, while a tight 36.7-foot turning circle enhances nimbleness in tight urban environments, helping make the Trax easy to park. Entry-level Trax LS includes standard Chevrolet MyLink infotainment with a seven-inch-diagonal touch screen, OnStar 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, segment-exclusive standard rearview camera system, rear fold-flat and front passenger fold-flat seats, USB port, air conditioning, power locks and windows, power outside mirrors and remote keyless entry. Trax can seat five adults with up to eight seating/cargo-carrying configurations. There is 18.7 cubic feet of storage space behind the split-folding rear seatbacks, and up to 48.4 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seat folded. New exterior colors for 2016 include Crimson, Sable, Cyber Gray and Champagne Silver, all metallic. Standard 16-inch wheels grace the LS FWD and LT (aluminum wheels on LS AWD and LT) while the LTZ come fitted with standard 18-in aluminum wheels.
