Scion iA
2016 SCION iA: There will be lots of excitement at the Scion exhibit during the 2016 Chicago Auto Show with the brand new 2016 Scion iA sedan on display. This is Scion's first-ever four-door sedan and is a joint venture with Mazda. Under the hood is a high-compression 1.5-liter engine that produces 106-horsepower and come with a stock six-speed manual gearbox or optional six-speed automatic transmission. The mono-spec five-passenger models come equipped with chrome accents and soft-touch trim and surfaces, seven-inch multimedia that includes Pandora, Aha, Stitcher and six speakers; a keyless entry and push-button start, remote interface and voice recognition. For those who bring their own music to the iA, two USB ports and an auxiliary input are standard. An available navigation system also is offered through Scion dealers. But, the biggest news is the standard low-speed pre-collision safety system that employs a laser sensor to help the driver avoid collisions and minimize damage in the event of an accident. Additional safety equipment such as a brake override system and the rearview backup camera comes standard. Scion explains that the steering and brake system tuning is befitting of a sports sedan, where agility is engineered into the iA, not just added on. You will be able to spot the new iA sedan at the show by its curved sheet metal, hexagon lower grille, sharp-eyed headlamps, and piano black bumper. There are seven colors on the iA paint palette with vibrant shade choices that include Stealth black, Abyss, Graphite, Pulse, Sapphire, Sterling and Frost. You should also check out the hatchback siblings while at the show.
