2017 Dodge Challenger: The 2017 Dodge Challenger is a performance-oriented two-door sports car that competes primarily with the Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang and Nissan 370Z. For 2017, the five-seat Challenger adds two new models, some performance upgrades and some interior and exterior colors and badging.The Challenger is available with several engines: A 3.6-liter V6 that makes 305 horsepower, 5.7-liter V8 that makes 375 horsepower (372 with automatic transmission), 6.4-liter V8 that makes 485 horsepower and supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that makes 707 horsepower. The V6 mates to an eight-speed automatic transmission which is available with the 5.7- and 6.4-liter V8s. Those engines are paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission. The 6.2-liter V8 comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission and is available with an eight-speed automatic transmission. All Challengers are rear-wheel-drive. EPA-estimated fuel economy numbers are 19 mpg city/30 mpg highway for the V6, 15/23 for the 5.7-liter V8 with the manual transmission (16/25 automatic), 14/23 for the 6.4-liter V8 with the manual transmission (15/25 automatic) and 13/21 for the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 (13/22 with automatic transmission).The Challenger is available in 10 trim levels. They are SXT, SXT Plus, R/T, R/T Shaker, T/A, R/T Plus, R/T Plus Shaker, T/A Plus, R/T Scat Pack, T/A 392, 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker, SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat. The T/A and T/A 392 trims are new for 2017.Available features include performance-brake packages, engine-block heater, performance-exhaust system, shaker hood scoop, rear spoiler, sunroof, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, remote start, heated steering wheel, leather seats, heated/cooled front seats, Bluetooth, infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, multiple USB ports, navigation system, premium audio and adaptive cruise control.Available safety features include dual-front, front-side, and side-curtain airbags; anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic detection, forward-collision warning, rear-view camera, hill-start assist and rear parking assist.The 2017 Dodge Challenger is assembled in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
