2017 Ford C-Max: The 2017 Ford C-Max is a hybrid "people mover" compact wagon that seats five and competes with the Toyota Prius V. For 2017 it sees minor styling updates and adds a new trim level. The C-Max is available as either a standard hybrid or plug-in hybrid, called the C-Max Energi.Under the hood is a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine and an electric motor for 141 system horsepower. The transmission is an electronic continuously-variable automatic. The C-Max is front-wheel drive and has EPA-estimated fuel economy numbers of 42 mpg city/38 mpg highway (39 mpg combined for the Energi model).Available features include Ford's Sync3 multimedia suite, park assist, keyless entry and starting, satellite radio, rain-sensing wipers, navigation, dual-zone climate control, hands-free foot-activated liftgate, second-row in-floor storage, and heated front seats.Available safety features include anti-lock brakes, stability control, and dual-front, front-side, driver-knee and side-curtain airbags.The 2017 Ford C-Max has a base price of $24,120, excluding dealer and destination fees.
