2017 Ford F-150: The Ford F-150 is the perennial bestselling vehicle in the U.S. For 2017, it adds an available 10-speed automatic transmission and a new available V6 engine. The F-150 is a full-size pickup truck that competes with the Chevrolet Silverado, Ram 1500, Nissan Titan and Toyota Tundra. A high-performance Raptor version is available.The F-150 offers five engines: A 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 that has 325 horsepower, 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 with 375 horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 with 282 horsepower, 5.0-liter V8 with 385 horsepower and 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 with 450 horsepower. Six- and 10-speed automatic transmissions are available, and EPA-estimated fuel economy numbers run from 14 mpg city to 26 mpg highway, depending on engine and transmission choice. The F-150 is available with rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. The Raptor has a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 and a 10-speed automatic transmission.Regular, extended (SuperCab) and crew cab (SuperCrew) configurations are offered. Bed sizes range include 5.5-foot, 6.5-foot and 8-foot.Available features include Ford's Sync3 multimedia suite, 8-inch LCD touchscreen, remote tailgate, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry with push-button start, trailer backup assist, heated and cooled front seats, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, navigation and satellite radio.Available safety features include traction control, stability control, anti-lock brakes, blind-spot information system with rear cross-traffic alert and dual-front, front-side and side-curtain airbags.The 2017 Ford F-150 has a base price of $26,540, excluding dealer and destination fees.
