2017 Ford Mustang: The 2017 Ford Mustang is the modern version of the pony-car classic, and it continues to compete against the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger. It sees few changes for 2017. Race-ready Shelby GT350/GT350R versions are available.The Mustang is offered with three engines - a 3.7-liter V6 that makes 300 horsepower, a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 310 horsepower, and a 5.0-liter V8 that makes 435 horsepower. The Shelby versions have a 5.2-liter V8 that makes 526 horsepower. All but the Shelbys are offered with either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic - the Shelbys are manual only. The Mustang has rear-wheel drive and EPA-estimated fuel economy is rated at 18 mpg city/27 mpg highway for the V6, 21/30 for the four-cylinder, and 15/25 for the 5.0-liter V8 (15/24 with automatic transmission). The Shelby versions are rated at 14/21.Available features include keyless entry and starting, Ford's Sync3 multimedia system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, premium audio, satellite radio, USB, dual-zone climate control, and heated and cooled front seats.Available safety features include rear-view camera and dual-front, front-knee, front-side and side-curtain airbags.The 2017 Ford Mustang has a base price of $24,915, not including destination and dealer fees.
