2018 BMW 5-Series: The 2018 BMW 5-Series adds two new models. The 5-Series is a mid-size luxury sedan that competes with the Lexus GS and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. For 2018, the 5-Series adds a plug-in hybrid model as well as an M performance version.Available engines include a 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 248 horsepower and a 3.0-liter six-cylinder that makes 335 horsepower. These engines will use an eight-speed automatic transmission. The plug-in hybrid will combine a 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged four-cylinder and an electric motor for a total system horsepower of 248 and will use an eight-speed automatic transmission. The M 550i xDrive will have a twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 456 horsepower and all-wheel drive. The rest of the 5-Series line is offered with rear- or all-wheel drive.
Available features include navigation, premium audio, Bluetooth, infotainment system with touch screen and gesture control, USB, head-up display, and an on-street parking information system that will help drivers find open spots.Available safety features include traction control, stability control, forward-collision warning, and dual-front, front-side and side-curtain airbags.
