2018 Subaru WRX: The 2018 Subaru WRX and its STI performance variant are refreshed for 2018. The WRX is a compact four-door sedan that competes with the Ford Focus RS, Mazda 3, and Volkswagen Golf GTI. For this year, WRX front-end styling is revised, the suspension is reworked for better performance, a performance package is available, Recaro sport seats are now available, the interior is upgraded, new safety features are available, and the STI gains performance upgrades.The WRX is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four cylinder engine that makes 268 horsepower and pairs to either a six-speed manual transmission or a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT). The STI has a 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-four cylinder that makes 305 horsepower and mates to a six-speed manual transmission. Both versions have all-wheel drive.Available features include multimedia system, heated front seats, USB, Bluetooth, keyless entry, navigation, premium audio, leather seats, and satellite radio. Safety features include blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic detection, EyeSight driver-assist technology, rear-view camera, stability control, traction control, and dual-front, front-side, driver-knee and side-curtain airbags.The 2018 Subaru WRX goes on sale this spring.
