2020 Hyundai Kona: The Hyundai Kona remains unchanged for 2020. Kona is a compact crossover that seats 5 passengers and is only available as a 4-door wagon. An electric variant called Kona Electric is also available. Competitors include the Chevrolet Trax, Toyota CH-R, Ford EcoSport, Mazda CX-3, and Jeep Renegade.
Only front-wheel drive is available. Four trims are offered: SE, SEL, SEL Plus, Limited, and Ultimate. There are two engines available: A 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 147 horsepower and a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that produces 195 horsepower. Two transmissions are available: a 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed dual-dual-clutch automatic transmission. Kona Electric uses a 150 kW motor that produces 201 horsepower and has a range of 258 miles.
Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights. Pricing ranges from $19,000 to $38,000.
