2020 Hyundai Sonata: The Hyundai Sonata is all-new for 2020, as is the Sonata Hybrid. It boasts all-new exterior and interior design as well as drivetrain including a new hybrid powertrain. Sonata is a midsize car that seats 5 passengers and is available only as a 4-door sedan. Mechanically similar to the Kia Optima, Sonata competitors include the Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry.

Only front-wheel-drive is offered. Five trims are available: SE, SEL, SEL Plus, Limited, and Hybrid. There are three powertrain choices. Gas-only engines include a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 180 horsepower and a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that makes 191 horsepower. Both pair to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid boasts a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine paired to a 39-kW electric motor that together produce 192 horsepower.

Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights. Pricing hasn't been announced.
