2021 Chevrolet Malibu: The Chevrolet Malibu gets wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto and a new Sport Edition as the sole changes for 2021. Malibu is a midsize car that seats 5 passengers and is only available as a 4-door sedan. Competitors include the Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima, Mazda 6, Nissan Altima, Subaru Legacy, Toyota Camry and Volkswagen Passat.

Only front-wheel drive is offered. There are five models: L, LS, RS, LT, and Premier. There are two engines available: A turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder that makes 160 horsepower and is paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that makes 250 horsepower and is paired to a 9-speed automatic.

Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights. Pricing ranges from $23,000 to $36,000.
