2021 Ram ProMaster: The Promaster is a large van that can be used for commercial or passenger applications. For 2021, Promaster gets advanced safety features like blind-spot monitor and automatic emergency braking. Also new is something called crosswind assist, that helps improve stability in windy conditions. Competitors include the Ford Transit, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and Nissan NV.
Three different wheelbases are offered: 118-inch, 136-inch and 159-inch. The short wheelbase is only available with the low roof, while the longer wheelbases come in low- and high-roof configurations. All models offer front-wheel drive and come with a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 280 horsepower that pairs to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Maximum payload capacity ranges from 3,990 pounds to 5,200 pounds depending on equipment configuration. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 6,800 pounds.
Available driver-assist technology includes rearview camera. Pricing starts at $38,000.
