2021 Subaru WRX: Based on the compact Impreza, WRX is a hyper-performance 4-door sedan that seats 5 and comes standard with all-wheel drive. After a host of upgrades for 2020, the WRX stands pat for 2021. Competitors include the Hyundai Veloster N, Honda Civic Si, Mazda 3 Turbo and Volkswagen GTI.
Trim levels include Base, Premium, Limited, STI, and Limited STI. Two engines are offered: Base Premium and Limited us a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 268 horsepower and pairs to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable automatic transmission. Opting for STI gets you a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that makes 310 horsepower and mates exclusivly to a 6-speed manual transmission.
