2021 Volkswagen Jetta: Jetta is a compact car that seats 5 passengers and is only offered as a 4-door sedan. It was most recently redesigned in 2019 and saw the debut of a sporty variant called GLI at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show. For 2021, VW has upgraded the infotainment system on top trims. Jetta Competitors include the Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, Kia Forte, Mazda 3 Sedan, Nissan Sentra and Subaru Impreza.

The standard Jetta comes in S, SE, R-Line, SEL and SEL Premium trim. GLI models come in S and Autobahn trim. All come standard with front-wheel drive. Standard Jetta models get a turbocharged 1.4-liter 4-cylinder that makes 147 horsepower and mates to either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. GLI models come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that produces 228 horsepower in the GLI. It pairs with either a 6-speed manual or an 7-speed automatic.

Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights. Pricing ranges from $20,000 to $32,000.
