2022 Nissan Frontier: The Frontier is a midsize pickup truck that's offered in King- (extended) and crew-cab bodystyles. Both seat 5 passengers. King cab comes with a 6-foot bed, crew cab comes with a 5- or 6-foot bed. Competitors include the Chevrolet Colorado, Ford Ranger, GMC Canyon, Honda Ridgeline and Toyota Tacoma.
The 2022 sports fresh styling inside and out. Including LED lighting and redesigned grill. Inside, Frontier gets a 9-inch touchscreen infortainment system that now supports Apple Car Play and Androuid Auto, in-vehicle WiFi and wireless charging. On the safety front, Frontier adds forward-collision warning and Nissan's Safety Shield 360 as standard equipment.
Rear-wheel-drive is standard with 4-wheel-drive being optional. Trim levels include S, SV PRO-X (2WD) and PRO-4X (4WD). Sole powertrain is a 3.8-liter V6 that produces 310 horsepower that pairs to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity is 6,720 pounds.
Available driver-assist technology includes rear automatic braking, automatic emergency braking wth pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, driver alertness sensor and adaptive cruise control. Pricing has not been released.
