Jennifer, I made it through the winter but just barely with a set of balding tires. It was stupid of me to not get new tires, but I wasn't in a position to pop for $400 for a new set of tires this past year. Got a nice little tax refund and think that perhaps it is time. A buddy told me to wait until the fall because worn tires actually grip better in the dry than new tires. Is that true? Should I wait? I don't do a lot of driving and tires usually last four or five years on my cars.
