Fisker Karma Eco Sport

FISKER KARMA ECOSPORT: There were two Fisker Karma EcoSport models in the Comcast Business Class Garage exhibit at last year's Chicago Auto Show. This was a great opportunity to get close to the world's first luxury plug-in exotic four-door, four passenger sedans. The Karma powertrain featured dual electric rear motors, rear wheel drive with mid-mounted battery pack and front/mid mounted 260 horsepower turbocharged 2.0 liter gasoline engine/generator. The electric drive motors generate a total of 403 hp, and is linked to a single speed fixed gear transmission. An advanced regenerative blended brake system is employed for maximum energy recapture, along with extruded aluminum spaceframe, modular chassis subassembly, aluminum and composite body panels for improved driving range and outstanding performance. All-electric ‘Stealth Mode’ powers the Fisker Karma with a Lithium-ion battery for up to 50 miles total distance. When in ‘Sport Mode’, the Lithium-ion battery works in combination with the internal combustion engine for a total range of 250 miles. Fisker can streak from 0-to-60 mph in 5.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 125 mph. Custom Fisker Karma designed 22-inch wheels come framed with Goodyear tires, and the low-slung Fisker height is only 4.4 feet. Luxurious cabin includes animal free material to reflect pure leather grain, and the wood used is rescued pieces retrieved from the 2007 firestorm in Orange County, CA, and certified sunken wood from the bottom of Lake Michigan. The Fisker’s examples at the show were courtesy of Patrick Dealer Group, and have sticker prices of $116.600.
