Kia A1A Optima

KIA A1A OPTIMA CONCEPT: Inspired by the legendary Florida A1A highway is the unique Kia A1A Optima four-door convertible concept car, on display during the 2016 Chicago Auto Show.  The imaginative 2+2 prototype not only removed the sedan roof, but chopped the windshield height, added rear-hinged rear doors (aka suicide doors), and placed bucket seats in front and back. Further alterations are a lowered ride height, Ksport coil-over suspension and 20-inch rims at all four corners.  Kia’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder DOHC engine was been bumped up to 245-horsepower and linked with a beefed-up six-speed automatic gearbox. Word on the show floor is that the blue exterior represents ocean waters and the light color leather interior represents the white sands of Miami Beach. All the custom work was accomplished by Lux Motorwerks in Keyport, NJ.
