2020 Mazda CX-5: The Mazda CX-5 remains mostly unchanged for 2020, with new standard safety tech and revised driving dynamics being the only changes for the new year. The CX-5 is a compact crossover that seats 5 passengers and is only available as a 4-door wagon. Competitors include the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Volkswagen Tiguan and Ford Escape.
Front-wheel-drive is standard with all-wheel-drive being optional. There are two engines available: A 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that produces 187 horsepower and a 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 227 horsepower (250 with premium fuel). Both engines pair to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 3,500 pounds.
