2021 Honda Clarity: Clarity is a limited-production hybrid electric vehicle that was most recently restyled in 2017. It seats 5 passengers and is only offered as a front-drive, 4-door sedan. For most of the US, it is a plug-in hybrid, but in California it is also offered as a hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle. Competitors include the Hyundai Sonata hybrid, Toyota Camry hybrid and Honda's own Accord hybrid and Insight hybrid.

Plug-in models get a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine paired to an electric motor with a total output of 212 horsepower. When it's 17-kWh battery is fully charged, Clarity plug in offers abou 47 miles of electric-only range. The fuel- cell Clarity gets a uses a hydrogen fuel cell to power a 174-horsepower electric motor. it has a range of approximately 360 miles.

Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights. Pricing ranges from $34,000 to $59,000.
