2021 Toyota C-HR: C-HR is a subcompact crossover that seats 5 passengers and is only available as a 4-door wagon. For 2021, CH-R gets a Nightshade Edition and additional standard safety equipment. Competitors include the Chevrolet Trax, Ford EcoSport, Honda HR-V, Hyundai Kona, Kia Soul, Mazda CX-3, Nissan Rogue Sport and Subaru Crosstrek.

Despite the crossover look, only front-wheel-drive is offered. There are three trims: LE, XLE, and Night Shade. Sole powertrain is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that makes 144 horsepower paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission.

Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights. Pricing ranges from $21,000 to $27,000.
