Chevrolet Bolt EUV

2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV: The Chevrolet Bolt EUV is a slightly larger version of the Chevrolet Bolt EV. It is 6 inches longer overall and rides a wheelbase that's 3 inches longer than the BOLT EV upon which it is based. Considered a compact crossover, Bolt EUV is only available as a 4-door hatchback with front-wheel drive. Competitors include the Hyundai Ionic, Kia Niro, Nissan Leaf and Tesla Model 3.

Two trims are available: LT and Premier. There is only one drivetrain available: An electric motor that produces 150 kW of power, equivalent to 200 horsepower. It is paired to a single-speed transmission. Sole battery option is a 65-kWh battery pack giving an expected range of 250 miles. With DC fast charging the battery could offer up to 100 miles of range in 30 minutes.

Option on Bolt EUV is GM's Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system. On specific roads and under certain driving conditions, Super Cruise allows the drive to operate the vehicle "hands free."  Super Cruise can maintain vehicle speed and can apply steering inputs for lane centering and curves. The driver must pay attention as the system monitors the driver's gaze. Look away from the road for too long and Super Cruise will issue an alert.
