Chevrolet Bolt EV

2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV: The Chevrolet Bolt EV is refreshed for 2022. Changes include refreshed interior and exterior styling, updated seats and infotainment system and wireless connections for Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Mechanicals remain mostly unchanged. Bolt EV is a compact electric car that seats 5 passengers and is only available as a 4-door hatchback. Competitors include the Hyundai Ionic, Kia Niro, Nissan Leaf and Tesla Model 3.

Only front-wheel drive is offered. Two trims are available: 1LT and 2LT. There is only one drivetrain available: An electric motor that produces 150 kW of power, equivalent to 200 horsepower. It is paired to a single-speed transmission. Sole battery option is a 65-kWh battery pack giving an expected range of 259 miles. With DC fast charging the battery could offer up to 100 miles of range in 30 minutes.

While Bolt EV's larger brother the Bolt EUV gets Super Cruise, Bolt EV just gets adaptive cruse control, which can control the vehicle's speed to keep up with changing traffic speeds. Pricing ranges from $31,995 to $35,195.
